SHOP FOR THE HOLIDAYS AT THREE ARTS MARKETS in DECEMBER!
Usually open the first Saturday of each month, the Baton Rouge Arts Market will be open two additional Saturdays in December (the 5th, 12th, & 19th)! Join us for THREE opportunities to shop for holiday gifts in December from 8 a.m. – 12 noon at 5th at Main Street. The Arts Market is a place where quality craftsmanship is not a lost art! Over 70 artists from Louisiana and surrounding states will have distinct artwork at each Arts Market Saturday in December! Find gifts for everyone on your list. There’s always a wide variety of artwork found at the Baton Rouge Arts Market including: pottery, jewelry, metal sculpture, hand-made soaps, hand-knit garments, furniture, hand-painted & hand-dyed silks, carved wooden utensils, mosaics, hand hewn wooden bowls, birdhouses & feeders, decorative gourds, photography, glass, and more. The Arts Market regularly features free children’s art activities from 9:00 am until 12:00 noon at the Arts Market’s Kids Booth. The Baton Rouge Arts Market is held in conjunction with the weekly Red Stick Farmers Market and the Main Street Market.
Special thanks to St. Joseph Cathedral for providing space for the Arts Market and to Arts Market media sponsors Country Roads Magazine and AT&T Real Yellow Pages. During inclement weather, the markets relocate to the Galvez parking garage, 500 Main Street. Check the Arts Council’s website at www.artsbr.org for additional info.
