Show your Tiger Pride Downtown!

The countdown to kick-off in Tiger Stadium is on, but be sure to take a break from your tailgate preparations Friday night to show your Tiger pride downtown! Check out The Golden Band from Tigerland’s guest performance during Live After Five! The university’s sesquicentennial celebration will continue with the opening of the “LSU: Building an American Renaissance” exhibit at the Old State Capitol. In celebration of the sesquicentennial and the exhibit opening, join an LSU contingent for a procession with the Golden Band from Tigerland down North Boulevard to Galvez Plaza for the Live After Five fall concert series.

The LSU Tiger Girls will perform to start the Live After Five activities, featuring the band Four Unplugged. While enjoying the band, cold Abita and Budweiser beer, spicy jambalaya and other Louisiana cuisine, you will see performances from the LSU Tiger Marching Band and Golden Girls at 6:30 p.m. Louisiana’s Old State Capitol will remain open until 8 p.m. for the general public to view the museum exhibit.

I didn’t know the band was going to show up downtown for Live After Five! Guess I’ll have to change my evening plans.
