LSU Gameday Shuttles – Thanks CATS

For those of you I haven’t met, I’m a Razorback fan living the good life in Baton Rouge ~ LSU Tiger country!  And even though the majority of tailgaters at last weekend’s LSU v. WVU matchup had their TVs tuned to the AR v. AL game, I opted to watch the game at home in my cardinal red.  I had a grand plan to meet up with our friends at the tailgate party after my game.  And grand plan it was.  After two painful interceptions and a four point loss to the Crimson Tide, I licked my wounds, changed into purple and gold and drove to the Catholic Life Center on Acadian.  I paid $5 to park and bought my $1.75 one-way bus ticket to LSU.  The system worked flawlessly.  I boarded the bus, waited about 5 minutes with a dozen or so other first-time shuttle riders and departed.  The route took us up Government Street to River Road and dropped us in front of the Vet School in less than 10 minutes.  Best $1.75 I’ve spent in a while.  I caught a ride home with my husband, so I can’t speak to the return side of the service.  Will I do it again? Absolutely.  I will caution the hardcore tailgaters, there are limitations.  The service begins four hours prior to kickoff and ends an hour after the game.  Go Hogs!  Geaux Tigers!  Go CATS!

Sounds like a great option for many people who just want to go watch a game without fighting too much about parking.
